Cores, which are of critical importance in creating the internal cavities, complex internal channels, and precise geometries of cast parts, are produced in the highly automated and robotically integrated modern Core Shop plant within İstikamet Döküm.
In our plant, globally accepted Cold Box resin and gas curing technology is used for core production, which directly affects the casting surface quality.
Our Core Shop department is integrated with FANUC R-2000iC / 270F heavy payload robots and fully enclosed SUMA Robotic cells to support high-volume and zero-defect targeted production processes. Thanks to this automation, core extraction from core boxes (core box), cleaning, and stacking processes are carried out untouched, with millimetric precision.
In order to meet the internal cavity requirements of cast parts of different sizes and complexities (hydraulic valves, engine blocks, hubs, and large infrastructure elements), our machinery park, which has a wide range of core shooting capacity from 15 liters to 60 liters, is as follows:
The grain size distribution of the sand, as well as the resin and catalyst ratios used in the core sand preparation stage, are regularly controlled in our laboratory. Thanks to correct curing times and gassing pressures, casting cavities caused by core gas are prevented, and excellent smoothness is achieved on the internal surfaces of the cast parts after casting.
