İstikamet Döküm operates with a modern induction furnace park featuring a total melting capacity of 16 ton per hour. The entire process, from charging to the automatic pouring stage, is controlled fully automatically in terms of temperature, casting rate, and metallurgical inoculation parameters, producing grey (lamellar graphite) and ductile (spheroidal graphite) iron castings in accordance with TS EN 124 standards.
Our Melting Furnace Park and Capacities
In order to meet orders of different tonnages and alloy requirements flexibly and uninterruptedly, induction systems in three different segments are used in our melting line:
- Inductotherm Dual Track Induction Furnaces: 2 dual-track systems with a capacity of 8 ton provide uninterrupted energy and homogeneous temperature distribution in high-tonnage ductile and grey iron casting charges.
- Eges Induction Furnaces: 2 induction furnaces with a capacity of 5 ton offering flexibility in medium-scale industrial part castings and alloy preparation processes.
- ICS Induction Furnaces: 2 induction furnaces with a capacity of 1 ton designed for special alloy castings and boutique production lines.
Automatic Pressurized Pouring Furnace Technology (Automatic Pressed Powered Pouring Furnace)
A high-tech automatic pressurized pouring furnace is used in our foundry to standardize the casting quality and speed in the molding lines. The advantages of this system to the casting process are:
- Precise Temperature and Pouring Rate Control: The pouring velocity and temperature of the liquid metal into the mold are automatically controlled, minimizing casting defects.
- In-Line Automatic Inoculation (Late Inoculation Control): Simultaneous and controlled inoculation is performed as the liquid metal is poured into the mold, optimizing the microstructural homogeneity and nodularization rate of the parts.
- Energy Saving and Sustainable Production: The pressure-controlled pouring system minimizes heat losses, reducing the carbon footprint and providing a longer refractory lining life.
